Researched logo trends from designers we've interviewed from around the world!
I’m So Glad You're Here! - Thanks for sticking with me!
I hope everyone is feeling refreshed after the Christmas Holidays, and ready to go full steam ahead this year…I know i am!
A World In Chaos - A Year of Growth!
Last year was awesome for business for me at The Logo Creative and i’m very grateful for it, life was turned upside down for the whole world but i refuse to let it hinder my journey and growth.
I worked my bottom off last year and it paid off, and i don’t plan on slowing down this year, I plan on pushing harder and following my passion…
I really love what i’m doing and i have never felt so happy and proud of my work as i do now!
I’m so glad i listened to my Dad and took his advice about starting The Logo Creative and specialising in logos and brand identity design, interviewing designers from all over the world, and creating design related content, plus cutting off the things that were making me unhappy in life and doing things on my terms.
It’s been real tough but this project has helped me become who i am today, i have rediscovered myself and feel so much better! (more on that in an upcoming newsletter, it’s been in the works for awhile as it’s been tough to write.)
By writing it down it has helped me understand what i have been going through in my mind and how i have been able to deal with losing my dad and move forward with my creative passion.
The Logo Creative project as a whole is for him, and i work hard in his memory, it’s been my therapy and my drive every single day. 🖤 🙏
Top 20 Logo Design Trends For 2021
Business success aside, last year was not the best year and it’s been challenging for everyone in general life, after a less than ideal start to the new decade it’s already screaming for a rebrand itself.
I am not a fan of the word “Trend” as to me it insinuates a short life span or fly by night sort of thing, something that probably wont be around for long.
It’s such a loose word that is not secure or stapled as the right thing to do. I prefer to refer to it as styles in logo design. But people search for trends and i want to give them the best content I can, so that's that.
Last year’s logo design trends for 2020 did really well and it was a popular article so i wanted to follow it up this year.
Throughout 2020 i have been keeping an eye on current trends and styles in logo design by also researching and keeping notes about what other logo designers have been creating, mainly designers who have taken part in The Logo Creative Designer Interviews.
Last year innovation was at a peak with the focus being on reinvention through new technologies, while this year it's innovative with constraints.
The world feels it and so do a lot of businesses around the world who have not had the success they were hoping for.
I have compiled a list of 20 styles that seem to be popular and have mostly been used by logo designers around the world.
Some of these predictions will not be a surprise to you and it’s no secret that minimalism is continuing to be on the rise and each of these styles will be used in a minimalistic way.

When it comes to rebrands in 2021 brands will be playing it safe and thinking smart, relying a lot on old favourite design styles.

I am steadily working through The Lettering Workshop with Francis Chouquet. I also shared it in the Midweek-Mix o4 Issue. This is an outstanding book its helped me so much recently with my hand lettering a must have for designers or anyone looking to learn or improve their hand lettering.
Listening: Spotify Playlist - Cobra Kai - After finishing watching Cobra Kai season 3 i have been listening to the playlist and it includes a lot more classic tunes than the ones within the cobra kai seasons.
Recommended Viewings: Netflix - Cobra Kai Season 3 | The Foreigner | Sweeney | Michael Inside | Also watched a few good films on Prime Video. I have had it installed on the TV for awhile but have always turned to Netflix as the selection is better. I have noticed some older films that are not available on Netflix im going to watch.
Just before Christmas i finished the final 6th season of my LOST box set - i’m glad i watched it a second time around brought back memories. I have a few boxsets i’m planning to rewatch.
